Caesars Sportsbook – Our Verdict
Offering its sleek gambling platform in over twenty states, Caesars Sportsbook is a titan in the US sports betting industry. During my Caesars Sportsbook review, I was excited to see a huge range of markets, competitive odds, plenty of in-play betting options, and arguably the best rewards scheme of any sportsbook.
However, no sportsbook is perfect. Despite being one of the most experienced operators in the game, I did find some flaws with the site. The inconsistency of email and phone support between states could certainly be improved, and there weren’t as many bonuses for returning players as I expected. However, these small complaints don’t weaken its overall success. Carry on reading my Caesars Sportsbook review for a more in-depth examination of this top US sportsbook.
About Caesars Sportsbook
Ever since opening the doors of the iconic Caesars Palace Casino in 1966, Caesars Entertainment has been a pinnacle of US gambling. Today, its online betting platform boasts the same legacy and has become a brand synonymous with great odds and a trustworthy reputation.
Caesars Entertainment has streamlined its gambling services into an impressive one-stop betting shop. The Caesars Sportsbook and Racebook are available in over twenty states, and the Caesars Palace Online Casino is live in five. Prepped with almost six decades of sports betting experience, it’s no wonder that Caesars is often the first one out of the gate when a new betting market is launched.
Caesars Sportsbook Mobile Experience
With over 15 sports markets, dozens of individual leagues, and a host of bonuses and featured bets, Caesars Sportsbook has a lot of information to display on cellphone and tablet screens. Luckily, both the Caesars Sportsbook app and mobile site use intuitive features to make navigation a breeze.
Live tournaments, daily odds boosts, and individual sports are displayed in a scrolling banner at the top of the screen. After selecting a market, you can choose the league or tournament you want to wager on from a drop-down list. Thanks to a handy banner at the bottom of the screen, I could easily access the promos page, search tool, and my bet slip within a few taps.
Overall, the Caesars Sportsbook app and mobile-responsive website display mountains of information in an organized, user-friendly interface. That said, the mobile site lacks a jump button for returning to the top of the screen. With so many markets and tournaments to scroll through, it takes twice as long to get back to the starting point. While Androids have this feature built-in, it would be great if the site could include one for iOS devices.
Caesars Sportsbook Desktop Experience
I found the Caesars desktop website to be just as user-friendly as the mobile app. I could access all the same markets, make deposits and withdrawals just as easily, and claim all the same promotions.
The sportsbook layout is jam-packed but not overwhelming, with markets on the left, betting options in the center, and your betslip on the right. Just like on mobile, the markets are also available via shortcuts in a scrollable banner at the top of the screen.
The only downside to the desktop site is that Caesars regularly offers mobile-exclusive bonuses, which you won’t be eligible for when playing from a laptop or PC. Of course, you also miss out on the flexibility and convenience of mobile gambling.
Caesars Sportsbook Welcome Bonuses
New US sports bettors can take advantage of a simple but generous welcome bonus at Caesars Sportsbook. Simply place your first real-money bet, and if it loses, you’ll receive up to $1,000 in bonus bets. Since it is a bonus recoup of a real money deposit and not a “free bet”, it is available in all states where Caesars operates (excluding Nevada, where players can claim a matched bet up to $50).
Using the exclusive Caesars Sportsbook bonus code “CZR1000”, I deposited $200 and made a bet of the same value. It lost, and the sportsbook loaded my account with the same amount in bonus cash. I then placed a successful $200 bet. With no wagering requirements and few market restrictions, I could wager and then withdraw my winnings in full (minus the initial bet amount).
You must place your first real-money bet within 30 days of registering and redeem the bonus bet within fourteen days of receipt. There aren’t any no deposit welcome bonuses currently available. However, Caesars regularly switches out its promotions, so bookmark this page for updates on the Caesars Sportsbook welcome bonus.
Caesars Sportsbook Bonus Codes
In order to benefit from Caesars Sportsbook welcome bonus, depending on the state you are in, you need to use one of the following codes:
- For North Carolina (NC) : use SPORTS24NC
- For Maine (ME) : use SPORTS321000
- For AZ/CO/IL/IN/IA/KS/KY/LA/MA/MD/MS/MI/NJ/NV/NY/PA/TN/VI/WV/WY : use USASPORTS21000
Caesars Sportsbook Mobile Registration Process
Mobile gambling is now the nation’s preferred way to play. Caesars Sportsbook has streamlined its mobile registration process so you can start wagering within a few minutes. Whether you register through the dedicated mobile app or through a mobile browser, the steps are the same. I’ll walk you through the registration process via the mobile app below:
- Download the Caesars Sportsbook mobile app.
- Launch the app, enter the state you’re playing from, turn on your location services, and click the green “Get Started” button.
- Input your email address. The sportsbook will automatically fill in the welcome bonus code, but it’s worth double-checking that it has been entered before finalizing your account. In case you don’t have any bonus code populated use one of the Caesars bonus codes listed above
- Enter your name, address, date of birth, and phone number. Create a memorable password.
- Answer two security questions and enter the last four digits of your social security number. This information is encrypted and won’t be shared with any third parties.
- Decide whether or not you want to allow Face or Touch ID (app only).
- Agree to the Terms and Conditions, then click “Submit”.
- Head to the Cashier section, click “Deposit”, select your preferred payment method, and input your desired deposit amount.
- Start wagering on your favorite markets.
Caesars Sportsbook Account Verification
After registering my Caesars Sportsbook account, I was required to verify my account before I could withdraw any winnings. This is part of licensing requirements in every state and is the same at every sportsbook in the US. Fortunately, Caesars’ verification process is swift and demands little effort from players.
The first step was to upload copies of my identification documents, which I did by emailing a scanned copy of my photo ID and proof of address to the customer support email address. You can also upload them to the dedicated verification portal. Below are the types of documents you can use to verify your account:
- Photo ID (passport, driver’s license, or another formal ID)
- Proof of address (a recent utility bill)
- Proof of payment method used (a bank statement or photo of your credit card)
I also needed to allow location services on my phone when registering via the mobile app. Caesars uses a geolocation tool to verify that anybody attempting to use the sportsbook is physically located within state borders. This way, bettors can’t use another state’s platform to place bets that are restricted in their own state.
Caesars Sportsbook Payment Methods
As a trusted and reputable brand, Caesars only partners with the most popular, reliable payment methods available to US bettors. I found a large selection of deposit options, including bank cards like Visa, Mastercard, and Discover, alongside e-wallets like PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, and the exclusive Caesars Play+ card. ECheck (VIP Preferred), online banking, PayNearMe, and cash deposits at retail kiosks are also available. All options have a $10 minimum deposit.
Withdrawals are available via debit card, eCheck, online banking, PayPal, Venmo, and the Caesars Play+ card. Though slightly more limited than your deposit options, Caesars staff are on hand to process withdrawals 24 hours a day, often approving requests in as little as an hour. I also appreciated the low minimum withdrawal amount of $1 on all options.
During my Caesars review, I discovered that some options aren’t available in certain states. For example, due to state regulations, you can’t use credit cards in Iowa, Tennessee, Massachusetts, or New York. Apple Pay is currently only available in Illinois, Louisiana, and Wyoming, though the sportsbook intends to extend this to all states soon. Head over to Caesars Sportsbook for a full list of excluded options.
Caesars Sportsbook Betting Features
With so many sportsbooks offering similar market coverage and generous odds, it’s the betting features that can make one stand out from the crowd. Caesars offers a Quick Pick feature on most popular events, where you can add pre-built parlays to your betslip with a single tap. I love claiming these prefixed bets, as they allow me to join in on markets I wouldn’t typically wager on.
Caesars is also famous for its daily odds boosts. Enjoy unbeatable odds on a range of markets, from the NHL to NASCAR and the German Bundesliga. With a generous $100 max bet on each boost, I was hard-pressed to find a sportsbook to rival it.
One big plus of Caesars’ betting features is that they remain consistent between states. Aside from a few variations in market availability, you can enjoy almost all the same boosted odds and pre-picked parlays from Arizona to Wyoming.
Of course, the real stand-out feature of Caesars Sportsbook is the rewards system. Widely referred to as the best in the business, Caesars Rewards is available in every state and rewards loyalty points with every bet. I was particularly impressed by the sheer number of ways to spend your points, from sportsbook bonus bets and in-person free play to discounted resort stays, casino dining credit, and much more.
Caesars Sportsbook Sports and Markets
I was impressed by the scope of betting markets available at Caesars Sportsbook. Offering daily odds boosts, hand-picked parlays, and regular free bet bonuses to use on a range of popular markets, Caesars is a titan of the industry. Though you won’t find as many niche options as other US sportsbooks, you can still enjoy special events betting and an unbeatable rewards system.
Football
Get your bets in for the next Super Bowl or wager on markets like the NCAA and CFL. Caesars provides official league data and a great selection of futures and in-play bets, so you can place your bets as far in advance (or as last minute) as you want.
Basketball
Caesars boasts extensive basketball betting markets, covering US leagues like the NBA, WNBA, NCAA, and Athletes Unlimited alongside European and Asian markets such as the Spanish Liga, Israeli BSL, and Swedish Basketligan. Use the NBA Parlay Builder to create a stacked parlay in seconds.
Baseball
From spring training to the World Series, you can wager on every MLB game at Caesars Sportsbook. Are you a beginner bettor and not sure where to start? Use the Quick Pick featured bets tool to take advantage of pre-selected wagers with great odds.
Hockey
Hockey fans have a range of markets to choose from, including the NHL, NCAA, World Championship, and various European leagues. Quick Pick Parlays are Caesars’ specialty, though you can also wager on prop bets, futures, derivatives, and more.
Caesars Sportsbook Customer Support
Caesars offers round-the-clock customer support via live chat, email, and telephone. While live chat and a detailed FAQ page are available in every state where Caesars operates, email and phone support availability varies state-by-state.
The first place I turned to was the FAQs page. Stocked with information on multiple topics and a helpful search bar to narrow them down, I easily found an answer to my question without needing to speak to an agent.
To use live chat, you must submit an inquiry form and deal with an AI-powered chatbot, which is essentially a repetition of the FAQs page. After selecting a pre-set question and replying “Yes” for further assistance, you can finally choose “Transfer to Live Agent.” You’ll then be connected to a friendly agent within a couple of minutes.
Overall, the responses from live agents are swift and satisfactory. I’d love to see email and phone support readily available for all states, not just a select few.
Caesars Sportsbook Responsible Gambling
As per state licensing agreements, Caesars Sportsbook provides a responsible gambling page with tools like deposit, bet and time limits, voluntary self-exclusion, and numbers for support organizations in each state.
Some states’ Responsible Gambling pages are more in-depth than others. For example, New Jersey has a self-assessment tool, a list of warning signs, and prevention tips. States like Wyoming and Illinois do not have this.
It took me a minute to find the Responsible Gambling page. Rather than having its own dedicated section, it is buried within the “Support” page. I found this a little disappointing, as Caesars should be making these resources clear and available to players.
Caesars Sportsbook State Directory
Caesars Sportsbook is one of the industry’s leading operators, boasting retail and mobile operations in over 25 states. I’ve listed below every state where Caesars currently operates, including those with retail- or mobile-only betting.
Arizona
Caesars offers the full package to Arizona bettors, with online, in-person, and mobile app betting all available. The sportsbook launched in September 2021, the day online sports betting went live in the state. A temporary retail store opened the same day, which has since transformed into the permanent Chase Field sportsbook.
Colorado
Caesars Sportsbook has been live and legal in the Centennial State since 2021 via the online betting site and mobile Caesars app. You can wager in person at Isle Casino or Lady Luck Casino, two Black Hawk retail locations with Caesars sports betting kiosks.
Illinois
Caesars Sportsbook launched in the Prairie State in September 2020, when Illinois still had an in-person registration rule. This rule expired in March 2022, meaning bettors can now register at Caesars Sportsbook online or via the mobile app (which launched the same month). Retail betting is available at two locations, including the Caesars Entertainment-owned Grand Victoria Casino.
Indiana
Indiana is home to eight full-service retail Caesars Sportsbooks. The online sportsbook and mobile app have been live in the Hoosier State since 2020. Wagering on Division 1 NCAA games is permitted, though player props are not.
Iowa
Caesars began its Iowa operations in 2017 with a pari-mutuel simulcast betting platform, courtesy of a partnership with William Hill. Following the overturning of PASPA, Caesars launched its full sportsbook services in August 2019. The Hawkeye State is also home to four full-service retail Caesars Sportsbooks.
Kansas
The Caesars Sportsbook mobile app has been live in the Sunflower State since September 2022. The operator was one of the first to start taking bets on the September 1 soft launch and released its full range of betting services following the hard launch a week later. There are currently no retail Caesars sportsbooks in Kansas.
Kentucky
Kentucky is yet another state where Caesars launched its mobile sportsbook on the first possible day. The state signed its sports betting bill into law in March 2023, and the market went live in September of the same year. Kentucky is one of the few states with no restrictions on college betting. Players can place their bets in person at Red Mile Gaming and Racing.
Louisiana
Louisiana is home to two full-service Caesars Sportsbooks. The Pelican State legalized sports betting in June 2021 and saw the mobile Caesars Sportsbook app launch in January 2022. Similar to Kentucky, it poses no restrictions on college betting.
Maine
Maine was a late bloomer when it came to legalizing its sports betting market. Caesars Sportsbook went live on November 3, 2023, the day the market launched. It is one of only two mobile sportsbooks permitted to operate in the state. At present, Pine Tree State bettors are limited to mobile betting, though it’s likely a retail sportsbook will open in the future.
Maryland
Maryland legalized sports betting back in May 2021. Caesars opened its flagship retail sportsbook at Horseshoe Baltimore Casino in December 2021 but wasn’t able to launch the Caesars app until the mobile betting market went live in November 2022. Following in the footsteps of Kentucky and Louisiana, residents are free to wager on various college markets.
Massachusetts
Though retail betting is now live and legal in Massachusetts, Caesars Sportsbook is currently a mobile-only operation. However, it was in the first batch of mobile sportsbooks to launch on the day the market went live. The state legalized retail and mobile betting in August 2022, though retail sportsbooks opened their doors two months before in January 2023.
Michigan
Michigan is one of the few states where players can have it all. Residents can wager via the mobile app or retail locations and access the Caesars Palace Online Casino and WSOP platform. The mobile sportsbook app went live in August 2021 and offers a great range of markets and bet types.
Mississippi
Sports betting was legalized in the Magnolia State in August 2018, though it was limited to in-person only. However, in February 2024, the state passed a bill to legalize mobile wagering, which means the Caesars Sportsbook app may soon arrive on the scene. Until then, MI residents can place bets at one of ten retail Caesars Sportsbooks.
Nevada
After partnering with Caesars Casino Las Vegas, Caesars Sportsbook went live in Nevada in August 2021, the same month as Michigan. The launch brought its six-decades-long presence in the Silver State into the digital world. Nevada first legalized sports betting in 2010 and was the only state to offer it legally until PASPA was repealed in 2018.
New Jersey
Like Michigan, NJ bettors have access to all Caesars betting products. Four full-service retail locations, the mobile sportsbook app, the dedicated Caesars online casino, and the WSOP platform are all available within a few clicks. Caesars Sportsbook went live in the Garden State in September 2018, the sixth to do so.
New York
New York legalized state-level sports betting in 2013. The first retail sportsbooks opened in 2019, including Caesars at Turning Stone Casino. Mobile sports betting was legalized in April 2021, and Caesars went live on market launch day in January 2022. In-state collegiate betting is prohibited, and despite being the host state for Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest, betting on special or non-sporting events is also illegal.
North Carolina
In-person sports betting was legalized in North Carolina in 2019, with Caesars owning two of the three retail sportsbooks. Online betting legislation was signed into law in June 2023, and the online market launched in March 2024. College sports are extremely popular in NC, so in-state collegiate betting and college player props will be legal to bet on.
Ohio
Ohio kicked 2023 off in style, with retail and online betting going live on January 1. Caesars was one of the first operators approved for the launch and offered its services via two retail locations and the mobile Caesars app. When the market launched, Caesars offered prop bets on college games. However, recent legislation has prohibited player-specific NCAA prop bets in the state.
Pennsylvania
PA legalized sports betting in 2017, long before the overturning of PASPA in 2018. The mobile betting market launched one year later, in May 2019, and Caesars Sportsbook arrived in 2022. Pennsylvania is one of the few states that also offers Caesars Online Casino. Like Ohio, NCAA prop bets are prohibited in the Keystone State.
Rhode Island
Though Rhode Island was one of the first out of the gate after the repeal of PASPA, mobile betting is limited and available exclusively through one state-sanctioned online sportsbook. However, after dissolving the William Hill brand in 2021, Caesars now operates the state’s two retail sportsbooks at Tiverton and Twin River Casino.
Tennessee
Tennessee launched its online-only betting model in November 2020, the first state to do so. This means you won’t find a retail Caesars Sportsbook in the Volunteer State, but you can wager online via the Caesars mobile app (one of the first three sportsbooks to debut in TN). College betting is permitted except for in-play and player-specific prop bets.
Virginia
Caesars’ online sportsbook went live in Virginia in February 2021, two weeks after the market launched. The first retail Caesars Sportsbook is set to open in late 2024, once construction finishes on the new Caesars Casino in Danville. Until then, Old Dominion bettors can access various popular markets and the Caesars Racebook via the mobile app.
Washington
Washington currently permits in-person sports betting only. However, retail betting is available at two full-service Caesars Sportsbooks and one sports betting kiosk. All three locations launched in February 2022, and both the Spokane and Muckleshoot sportsbooks offer compatible “BetAhead” websites, where you can build your betslip in advance. Out-of-state collegiate betting is permitted.
Washington DC.
Caesars is one of two sportsbook apps in DC. The retail Caesars Sportsbook at Capital One Arena opened in May 2021 (making it the first in-arena sportsbook in the US), and the app followed in August 2022. To wager via the app, you must be within a two-block radius of the arena. Caesars offers the best odds boosts and loyalty programs out of the two available apps.
West Virginia
WV legalized sports betting in March 2018 (two months prior to the overturning of PASPA) and launched its betting market in August of the same year. Like Arizona, Caesars offers the total betting package to Mountain State bettors. Retail, online, and mobile betting are all available following the acquisition and rebranding of William Hill in 2021.
Wyoming
Much like Tennessee, Wyoming offers online-only sports betting. The state’s four tribal casinos are permitted to open an in-house sportsbook, but commercial sportsbooks aren’t allowed to set up shop. Instead, Equality State bettors can wager online via the Caesars Sportsbook app and online website, which have been live in Wyoming since August 2022.
