DraftKings Launches Free-to-play Sports Game with Delta Airlines

Sportsbook operator DraftKings has launched its new free-to-play in-flight sports game SkyPicks with
Delta Airlines.
SkyPicks, which is only playable to customers over 21, will be available on all Delta domestic flights
via Delta Sync Wi-Fi. Players can interact with sports matchups by connecting to Delta’s Wi-Fi through
their Delta SkyMiles accounts and playing on their personal devices. Matchups include professional
football, basketball, baseball, and other sports.
Players will also be able to enter free-to-play contests with the chance to win Delta gift cards. The
contests invite players to answer various sports-related questions, such as which team will win,
which team will score first, and a final-score tiebreaker, allowing players to accumulate points on a
leaderboard. New contests will be offered each week.
“At DraftKings, we believe interaction with sports shouldn’t begin and end with the game itself—it
should extend to every moment fans care about,” said Jeremy Elbaum, Chief Commercial Officer at
DraftKings.
“As we continue elevating the DraftKings Sports experience, we’re also exploring new ways to bring
fans closer to the action beyond the traditional settings. Collaborating with Delta gives us the
opportunity to reimagine what sports engagement can look like while traveling, bringing innovative
ways for fans to stay connected to the games they love—even when they’re in the air,” he continued.
