Arkansas Sports Betting Revenue Increases Thanks to DraftKings, FanDuel Partnerships

April marked the first full month of DraftKings and FanDuel sports betting operations in Arkansas after both received regulatory approval to enter the state’s betting market by the Arkansas Racing Commission.

Both launched their respective sportsbooks on March 20, with DraftKings partnering with Southland Casino and FanDuel with Oaklawn Casino. Since then, the two casinos have recorded an uptick in sports betting revenue, while the state’s third casino, Saracen Casino, had a rather dull month in comparison.

According to figures published by the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration, online wagers placed at Oaklawn increased from $14 million in April 2025 to $52 million last month. At Southland, online wagers also increased to $35.6 million.

Saracen, the only casino of the three not to partner with a major sportsbook, recorded a revenue decline last month. Revenue dropped from $26 million to around $13 million, but the casino wasn’t too worried about the drop in revenue compared to the other two.

“Our sports betting numbers, we are seeing some changes,” Carlton Saffa, Chief Market Officer at Saracen Casino, said, “And that’s okay.” He went on to explain that it was an expected outcome in April, as FanDuel and DraftKings pushed out more promotional bets for their first month of operation.
