DraftKings Announces Launch of DK Replay in Oregon
DraftKings has introduced a new sports betting feature in Oregon that lets users wager on past MLB games. The product, called DK Replay, became available on March 25 after getting regulatory approval from the Oregon Lottery.
The offering enables eligible users to bet on anonymized, historical MLB plate appearances drawn from previous seasons. Rather than wagering on live games, customers are given pitcher-versus-batter matchups without knowing the players’ identities.
Participants can place bets on individual pitches, such as whether the next pitch will result in a ball, a strike, or a ball put into play.
Each matchup includes basic performance indicators, with players categorized into tiers based on historical statistics like batting average and strikeout rates. After a bet is placed, the actual outcome of the pitch is revealed, and wagers are settled accordingly. Full details, including player identities, are then revealed.
“DK Replay offers a new experience for our customers, allowing them to tap into the excitement of pitch-by-pitch betting in a unique historical environment,” said Corey Gottlieb, Chief Product Officer at DraftKings. “With DK Replay, we’re able to offer an experience that will allow customers to enjoy their favorite sports no matter the time of year.”
